Music has a new front door. MIM, Music Information Mechanics. Know Music. Feel human.
Music Information Mechanics -
for short - is a new way to engage with music.
Streaming services have been encouraging artists and the music industry for years to think about how they engage with their fans. delivers on that in a way no single streamer could: it's a mobile app with a gestural interface that connects streaming, images, a lot of context, and automation into a universal format, making knowing music a frictionless experience. Knowing music better helps us remember it, and makes it matter more.
helps you navigate music gesturally, making taste and effort transparent, unthrottling the path for artists, fans, and the music industry to stay connected about their music.
A universal front-end format means that we're all speaking the same language about music. Each optimized artist card (and soon, optimized release cards, and groups of them both) is a shipping container of knowledge, taste, and the transparency of human effort and inspiration anywhere music appears, leading to more shared wins and stronger communities. We believe these things should not be summarized by AI, but known to humanity as a means to more deeply engage and connect. This is at the root of recording technology's magic, to distill the music itself in a recording and distill the ways it makes us feel. makes sure that the experience is still music's outcome.
We'll be running a soft launch limited beta focused on the evolution of live listings and live event marketing, highlighting artists, venues, and live music, while the rest of the music industry populates our backend. We'll begin rolling out features incrementally as they're ready to experience.
